The writing is not all that easy to follow

Can't say I found this book all that helpful. The material is fairly basic touching on common sense and rudimentary points. It covers only family and some work related dynamics. Also, it copies a lot from other assertiveness books I've read. The writing is not all that easy to follow, don't feel it is professionally written.

I didn't get much use out of it. I found the advice to be too simple with a lot of self-help type advice with little to nothing about communication and human behavior, things which I believe are critical to be successful area.

This book is definitely not written by an author who is an authority on confidence or even assertiveness. At best it reads like a book report by someone who doesn't have a great deal of experience writing talking about a topic he researched at the local library. There is some decent information, but its presented such that you might do more harm than good. Personally can't recommend it.
